The Mystery Experience: Get your tickets for this show, part of the the wildly successful Murder is a Drag series by Vancouver Mysteries. The murder mystery shows in the Murder is a Drag series are original Vancouver Mysteries productions created here in downtown Vancouver and performed by locals. You don’t need to see the shows in any particular order – each chapter in the series is a separate murder mystery with a new story and new suspects. A few guests will also be included in the action with props and lines (optional- you can also choose to just watch the show).

Murder is a Drag Chapter 1: Dinner Date with Death - come see why this show has sold out so many times! The first chapter in our Murder is a Drag series, Dinner Date with Death is our original show first performed at the Show Cellar on Davie Street last year with the most recent sold out peformance at Water Street Cafe in Gastown. We are now bringing this hit show to our new venue - with more elbow room for the guests and a lower ticket price. 

Murder is a Drag Chapter 3: Rhinestones are Forever returns May 24 after a run of 6 shows during Dine Out Vancouver Festival earlier this year. Rhinestones are Forever, Vancouver Mysteries’ hit Murder is a Drag show is a wedding whodunit! The mystery unfolds during a wedding and reception – can you help the detective solve the mystery? The suspects and the detective are drag performers (watch for clues to be revealed during their scenes and musical numbers!).

Two shows each night! Choose the earlier dinner show or choose the late show (no dinner, but there’s a drink and snack included in the ticket price!
The Dinner Show: Tickets for the first seating include a delicious buffet dinner catered by our friends at Delta Hotels Vancouver Downtown Suites. You will also have the opportunity to pre-order bottles of BC wines or add-on a dessert when you purchase tickets. Visit vancouvermysteries.com  for the dinner menu and wine options. 

Timing: 

Dinner Show - doors & bar opens at 5:30PM, dinner at 6PM, show at 7PM, meet the cast at 8:30PM. Tickets: $105 ($136.90 with tax, gratuity and fees)

The Late Show: Tickets for the second seating include one drink (beer, wine or highball) and one snack per person instead of dinner - choose your snack during booking (GF, Dairy Free and Vegetarian options available). Timing: doors & bar opens at 8:30PM, show at 9:30PM, meet the cast at 11PM. Tickets: $75 ($97.79 with tax, gratuity and fees)

dairy free, gluten free and vegetarian menu options.
musical drag performances incorporated into the plot that reveal clues about the murder!
a scripted three act murder mystery show plus interaction/improvisation between the audience and the performers
a chance to guess the murderer (every guest can cast their own vote)
an opportunity to meet the cast after the show (photo opportunities)

Vancouver Mysteries Experience Hosts are there to greet you at the door, introduce the show and provide support throughout (need a hint? have a question?)
Accessibility: the venue for this event is the 2nd floor of the Delta Hotels by Marriott Vancouver Downtown Suites and has an elevator. To avoid stairs, please use the main hotel entrance at 438 Seymour Street. There are loud musical performances as well as quieter discussions, low lighting in the room and some puzzles require fine motor skills or ability to read fine print. If anyone in your party has concerns about the lighting, volume levels, vision or fine motor skills required please contact us.

This event is 19+.

Participation is optional - some guests will be offered roles in the show but you can also opt to just sit back and enjoy the drama and hilarity as the mystery unfolds. Costumes encouraged!
